Food was AMAZING! Service was friendly and fast. Definitely going to be going back next time i go through town.
Cute diner with a great atmosphere and a really nice park right next door. When I went they had a cheeseburger special which came with a cheeseburger, fries, and a drink for 5 bucks. I ordered the Hermie burger monster! 3 patties and ham! Once I figured out how to maneuver it into my mouth it was pretty darn good. I also got an Oreo shake. Pretty thick and full of Oreos.
But what you might not know is that Fry Sauce was invented right here! Back in the day, this Hermie's was actually an Arctic Circle. I'm not sure if it was the first location, but it was arguably the most important. Fry Sauce was invented here and the world has never been the same.
Hermie's is also a very good restaurant, some of the best burgers etc. in Utah. There's plenty of other reviews that go into detail, I just wanted to submit an additional reason for why this location is historically significant.
Basically everything you would want from a small town Drive-In. It's small very clean and really good. They have some unique burgers including one with tartar sauce on it. I wasn't brave enough to try that but the waitress said it was delicious. I had a burger called The Twig. It was a half pound Patty cooked in barbecue sauce. I really liked it barbecue sauce was not overpowering but did have a good flavor. I would recommend it to anyone coming through Cedar City.
Bit of a history lesson: as you may know, Fry Sauce is now considered a staple condiment of the state of Utah, and has seen its influence spread across the West. The governor of the state of Utah is working on getting a change passed that would make Fry Sauce the state food.
We still love Eating at Hermies. Their hamburgers are made fresh, and hot. I always get the Jalapeno Burger it was so good, I wish there was more jalapenos on it, it's not as Spicy as it use to be. I will have to ask for additional jalapenos next time. Munchers are The Bomb! The inside was re done, not sure how long ago. Looked beautiful, and cozy inside. Would recommend going here for sure. OH!! So yummy!!!

It was pretty busy and the weather was great so I ate outside in the shaded park. It was really nice. Great place to stop if traveling through town.
