The very big downside is the camp management!!!!!!!!!! Let me tell you why!
- have a reservation
- do not go there
In our case, we asked the host if a campsite was free, as there was no tag on the pole. He assured us that there was no reservation for this campsite. 3 hours later, campers came up with a reservation for exactly this site. We told them to contact the host in order to solve this problem. As he had his day off, the "manager" had to come from Cedar City to solve the situation. So far so good. But instead of kindly asking us to leave,as the site apperantly was reserved, he started the conversation in a very very rough tone, telling us we had to leave the site immediately, not telling us another site to go on, but to look further down the campground.
- go to another campground up the road
The camp host seems to get the reservation information scarcely or not at all. This leads to campers occupying camp sides which are already "reserved" as there are no tags on the camp sides it selves.
Very nice campground, nestled within the trees. It is actually my favorite in the whole area.
Beautiful campground with running water and good space for tents. Price is pretty average. The only complaint is the charges for extra cars and the lack of parking
My advice:
Convenient place to camp good proximity to stores, gas stations, freeway on and off ramps. Nice pit stop for the weary travelers. Easy access. Affordable. Safe.
I have never met a more impolite person on a campground before.
So beautiful up here, God's country for sure.
In our opinion the "manager" has no idea how to do his job right. The whole reservation system (our neighbors campground had been closed for tree cutting the day bevor, although they had a reservation) is not working at all due to insufficient management!!!!!!!!!The way this guy talked to us was a disgrace. And although we had come back to this site after seven years ( it was our dream campground), we will never go back there as long as it is with the same management.
The campground in Cedar canyon is wonderful, if not, perfect! The camp host is very helpful and does his job great.
