I booked, through Southwest Adventure Tours, a rafting trip. The others in the group also booked the rafting trip. Unfortunately for me, however, Southwest Adventure Tour Company booked me for an all day trip. The others were all booked for a half day trip. Had I gone on the all day trip, I would not have seen The Arches National Park, which was scheduled for that afternoon. Therefore, I passed on the all day rafting trip so I could see The Arches, which, incidentally, should not be missed -- it is magnificent. Our tour guide was of no help to me. I spoke with the owner/manager. He would not refund the $189, or any fraction thereof, I paid him for the rafting trip. He said I had to bear the financial loss.

Very competent and personable. Helped us see incredible places I never would have found on my own. I'll book with them again.
Our guide was little more than a semi-informed bus driver. For example, when we were going on our horseback ride at Bryce National Park, we asked her what we could take with us. She told us to bring water, which makes sense as we were essentially in the desert. When we went to get on the horses, however, we were told we could not take anything, including water bottles as there was no place to put them on the saddles.
One of our group had signed up as a single, and was quite willing to pay the supplemental fee. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the hotel in Bryce, the Southwest Adventure Tour Company had not reserved a room for her. Our guide did nothing to help straighten out this error. Plus, the owner/manager of the tour company did nothing to help. That night, that guest had to bunk in with other travelers.
As you might imagine, I would not recommend Southwest Adventures Tours to anyone.
