Overall operations have been streamlined and receptionists who answer calls are helpful. There is an online reservation system and your credit card number is required for phone and online reservations, in case you're a no show.

It's easier to park on the street, but watch for northbound traffic. It's a busier street than it looks to be.

So later that night, bruises started showing up. I have never been actually bruised after a massage; yes, you feel bruised, but I have an abrasion on my arm and bruises on my wrists now. Here’s the second part of my horrific experience. I went in to talk to a manager the next day and she was unbelievably rude. She told me, and I quote, “You look like a battered woman.” I had bruises on my legs because I am an active person and apparently my masseuse, to cover his tracks, had told his boss that I was extremely bruised all over and he didn’t know if he should report me(?!). The manager accused me of lying. She was curt and defensive and mean. She refunded my massage, but I will NEVER go back, and I encourage anyone considering a massage here just to spend the extra $20 and go somewhere else. I have never had such disgusting, disrespectful service in my life.

I have had many massages at the Healing Mountain Massage School Cedar City Student Clinic and Spa. Student Practitioner massages are only $25 for 50 minutes and they have a decent spa menu (body wraps, scrubs and steam pod). It's a great deal. They also have excellent Licensed Massage Therapists. The students seem to like the school and the staff are all really nice as well. I think this is a real gem in Cedar City.

HMM appears to trending away from a balanced massage to one that concentrates only on the areas the client specifies. Working one area too much or for too long has the opposite effect.

This is the best student massage I have received in the salt lake valley. The prices are great for the service. The student massages I have gotten at other schools do not compare to this establishment.

I have had many visits there and they all have been beneficial and a very good experience..

I have been here multiple times. But my latest and horrible experience here is twofold. First, I got the worst massage of my life (I’ve had massages all over the world): the guy massaging me used so much pressure and I asked him over a dozen times to ease up. You know how you trust a masseuse, though, right? I thought I was being a wuss. He told me he was working on scar tissue (of which I have none) and that the reason the massage hurt so much was because I need to exercise more. He told me he’d recommend two 30-minute walks a week. I was shocked; he essentially said his massage was horrible because I’m out of shape. I am an extremely active person: I had done yoga AND golfed earlier in the day before my massage.
