The managers are very friendly and personable! They offer great candy,homemade ice cream, and soda galore. It's a little ghetto, but it's a cute quirky kind of ghetto. :) They have deals everyday of the week. It's nice to have a video store around still!
I have purchased two Xbox 360 used games both of which were too scratched to play. Also when I inquired about guitar hero games I was told he had lots of them in his storage but he did not seem the least bit interested in getting them for me and selling them. Said he'd call me in a couple weeks and never did. The owner always seems too distracted about other things to care about what his store is selling. It's almost like his store is just a front for something illegal.
We'll we went in again tonight and more drama. We tried the Saturday night special 2 movies for 5 nights plus popcorn and 2 drinks for 8.99. Sweet we can do that. In fact we were going to do two of them. Shocker there is no 5 day option. You can only rent 1, 2, 3, and 7 days. Also they didn't have any popcorn or drinks to fulfill the daily special. So she tried to give it to us just the discs for $5 instead of 8.99. We had two specials plus a disc for a single night. 5+5+1.49=11.49 and surprise another late fee of 1.00. We were charged almost $16. So we had to get that fixed. Also, on the receipt we were charged for a movie we didn't rent. I guess they enter in each disc individually and miss typed the number. Thank heavens we caught that! Imagine the shock we'd find once we tried to return the disc we actually rented. So we waited about 10 minutes for the gal to get to correcting our transaction. Then we waited more. She tried to just issue us a credit to our account and changed the disc to the right title. But it wouldn't work and she couldn't provide proof of doing it. The system wanted to charge us a second time. That would have been fine but they couldn't offer a receipt for correcting it. So I mentioned just voiding out the first one and redoing the whole thing. She had to call her manager and apparently he told her to just charge us a second time for the correct price and that he would issue a refund to our card on Monday when he'd get to work. That just seems sketchy to me, so I asked for receipts to prove all this and they couldn't provide any. So needless to say after 30 minutes of this, I told her to forget about it. I'll keep my original receipt to show the movie mix up and to keep the over payment as a tip. I gathered the family and left. My husband said she started to cry as we left. I felt really bad but I don't get how any professional company can run this way. So, we'll just stick to redbox and streaming. Too bad. We will miss the memories of going to a movie store and picking out shows for family movie night
I really wanted to like this home town movie rental store. Sadly we just haven't had any luck. We wanted to get an older family movie. I called the cedar store and was informed that they had the first one but the squall was in st george. I was told that we could pick it up in st george on our way home to cedar and just return it to cedar. That would be great! But if I wasnt going through st george that they could send it up here for us and get it the next day. Awesome right? Well I called st george since we were down there and they informed me that I couldn't return it anywhere but only to the store I rented it from. Ummm okay. So to play it safe we had them ship it to the cedar store and would get it the next day. We picked up the first one from cedar and the next day would get the second. When we went to get the second one they had no idea. It wasn't in the shipment and thought maybe it went to the Beaver store. No one could find it. So we left empty handed. But the owner in cedar told us that st george was wrong we can rent and return at any of HIS stores....
Wonderful locally owned movie and video game rental store. Management is awesome, and they have great deals every single day.
Its a great place to go and get any movie you are looking for. They have often ordered it in for us if it wasn't in stock.
So they finally got it in a day or two later. They never called us but we found it on the shelf when we went in and loved it. But watch out the day the disc is due is not by closing like everywhere else it's like at 8pm. So surprise late fees even though we had them in the day they were due. The guy was nice enough to remove them for us. That was good.
